Just Checking In

I want everyone to check in and tell everyone else how they are doing. I want to know how you like our smaller, intimate teams. I also want to know how you are doing on this week's bonus and what you have decided to do to accomplish your goal for this challenge. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions; this is your chance :)

  1. So far, so good for me. I have gotten all my points so far. I still need to take a full size photo of me but have done everything else to get my bonus points. To accomplish my goal I made a FitDay account and am tracking my food and exercise. I am hoping that this will make me more accountable of my food intake and exercise.

  2. I like having a team mate. It gives me more incentive since I don't want to let anyone down. I only exercised 30 minutes monday, so I don't have all my points, but other than that I'm doing good.

  3. I have been sick so not off to a good start. I gained 2 pounds on vacation but this morning was down 1.5 pounds so maybe not that bad. I like our small team, works for us. I need to figure out my goal for this challenge and take my picture. I guess I need to do that today.

  4. I'm glad I'm not doing the challenge this time because it would add one more stress to my life, but I enjoy following you guys as you do it. I've lost a couple more pounds since the last challenge, so now I'm at what I consider to be my ideal weight. Too bad it's stress over kids that got me there! :( Does anyone want to borrow my weight points? Kid stress not included! Anyway, I hope you all do well with this challenge. I was really impressed with how everyone did last time.

  5. I have decided that my goal is to do 3 different types of exercise a week. I do body pump (a weight class) and pretty good at that now. So, I need to add in other stuff. I am going to do a cycling class and body flow (yoga, pilates mix). Because of my cold, I am taking it easy in these classes but I'll pick it up next week.

  7. Cindy, I go to the YMCA. It is perfect because there are some gals from church who go there so Carson has some kids in the daycare. The classes I take are by Les Mills. You should find a gym that has their classes, all the classes are set to music and very good. Our Y is small there there are only 5-10 people in class and I know everyone so it is also my social time. I am committing to going 4 times a week. I'm doing body pump, body flow, and RPM (cycling). Go to www.lesmills.com and check it out.

  8. I have gotten most my points so far, except I had lost so much weight in Peru and now at the end of the week I have gained some back! I am not eating that much and I am still as busy as ever, but it still came back. I think I need to know how Peruvian cooking is done and do it all the time!

  9. This is Sarah!
Well...I just want to say that I'm excited about doing this! This is my first time being a part of this so I don't know what to compare it to, but I'm glad to have a teammate as well! I realize I've been lacking in eating my veggies, and I don't know why. They're so tasty (haha). As the week progressed, I did very well with eating my veggies. My goal for this challenge is to make healthier choices following this list of things a can do:
    1. Avoid eating out (unless special occasion: family gathering, friend in town, etc.)
    2. No Soda
    3. No vending machine food
    4. Eat something fresh every day!
    5. lose at least 10 lbs. by the end of the challenge

So far, this week I have had something fresh every day which is something I usually miss out on!

  10. Matt here. Doing ok this week, like small teams just fine. My goal is to work swim + strength into my exercise routine. How I am going to accomplish it is to sign up for swimming lessons, and do at least 1 swim or strength workout per week for the rest of the challenge. I am trying to gear up for winter when I can't ride my bike.
