My challenge

I decided to post my challenge here for everyone to see. I told Cindy it all ready (and David & Rachel). I'd like to see what some of your answers are too, if you don't mind.

I also posted this as a comment so ignore the comment.

1. DETERMINE A GOAL (10 pts): My goal is to loose 15 (or hopefully more) pounds by the end of the 8 weeks.

2. DECIDE ON A REWARD (10 pts): My reward will be to treat myself to a massage, and by a real massage therapist!

3. GET READY (10 pts): When shopping I will park the car far away from the door to help with getting more exercise. I will get a step counter so I can see how many steps I do each day and try to increase each week. I will make sure I have healthy foods and snacks to eat each day.

4. REPORT TO A TEAMMATE (5 pts): I so far have been reporting to Cindy each day and will keep this us. I really like getting to know my sister better this way also!

  1. 1. Goal: loose 15 lbs. Actually, it's 16.5 lbs as I do have an exact number in mind.

    2. Reward: A small getaway to lake of the ozarks for James and I.

    3. Preperations: I bought healthy snacks, fruits & veggies, and v8 fusion. I also added the my fitness pal app on my phone. And mentally psyched myself up for this. :)

    4. Sharing: I've been talking to Krista everyday. Well, texting. Also texted Rachel a few times. And talked to Kim some.

I agree with Krista that this is a fantastic way to get to know each other better and it's fun doing it together. :)

  2. Goal - to lose at least an average of one pound a week (I want to lose more but after last challenge I know it can be difficult). I also want to get below my first weight goal but that is only 2 pounds and my next weight goal would be 27 pounds and pretty sure I can't lose that in only 8 weeks so I adjusted my goal to something I could achieve.

Reward - My reward for my first challenge (which I made) was to get electrolysis done (which I did) but that is something you can't just do once and be done with it so my reward will be another trip to my friendly Angie :)

Get Ready - This is kinda stupid but for me it is a problem that I haven't addressed yet. I LOVE cinnamon toast for breakfast. I am going to cut out cinnamon and sugar on my toast and go to just butter or an all fruit jam or jelly.

Report - to my whole team instead of just a teammate.

  3. Goal: Lose 5 pounds (I need to change that to 8)
    Reward: Buy a new dress
Get ready: Buy swim shorts so I can swim laps
    Report: I told Janna

I thought the reward was for the end of the 8 weeks. Is it supposed to be a weekly reward?

  4. 5:35 PM? This blog must be in Kim's time zone. It's only 2:35 here.

  6. Hair removal. Getting it done on my chin, upper lip, and a few stragglers from my eyebrows which I had done 25+ years ago. Cheaper that doing laser hair removal.

  8. I reported my goals and rewards to Kerry. She'll be who I contact each day, although, today I talked with Kelly.

I've got to say, my husband is the best Fix-it Man. I got all psyched today to get on the treadmill for 30 minutes. (Something I haven't done in a very long time, due to some pain issues.) I got everything ready, pushed the power, set the pace and 10-seconds later it quit working and gave an error message! Uggh. I tried it a few more times, looked around it and then gave up. I think my kids were the culprits.

When Dee got home from work I gave him a troubleshooting printout and he dug around, for 30 minutes or so and eventually pulled out a 2-foot length of purple ribbon that had wound around the motor, or something. Fishing that out among a bunch of other small toys, he saved us $150 service call.

...now to go use the treadmill.

  9. Yeah for fix it husbands and treadmills so you can actually get a workout in!! My mother-in-law has anifty exercise bike so I will probably be using it more than walking when I get to her house next week.
