Week 5 bonus challenge

For many of us, in a few short weeks we could quite literally find ourselves knee deep in snow!!  True story.  In an effort to take advantage of the nicer weather while we still can, part of this week's challenge will be to take our workouts to the great outdoors!  Get creative and have some fun with this one!  Set up an obstacle course in your yard or a local park, find a new hiking/walking trail, play some football, soccer, tennis, etc.  It's good to get out and do something different, but it's even more fun to do it with others, so this week in addition to taking your workouts outside, you'll need to team up with a partner. (how's that for a run on sentence?)  Don't worry, you won't be limited to teammates though that'd be nice, if possible.  I know that when I'm with a buddy,  I push harder through a workout, I'm not so quick to give up and it's encouraging to have a cheerleader in my corner when I'm feeling tired and worn out.  Who doesn't want a supporter on their side, right?

TO RECEIVE ALL 35 PTS:

3 OUTDOOR WORKOUTS = 20 PTS
2 WORKOUTS WITH A BUDDY = 15 PTS

FYI:  You can combine buddy and outdoor workouts!

  1. Too bad we didn't have this challenge last week. I did so much yard work last week. It is already starting to get cold here (40s) so we will see what we can do.

  2. This will be interesting next week since I will be out of the normal routine because of our staycation. I hope that the 2 days at the waterpark at Great Wolf Lodge will count as 2 workouts with a buddy! The zoo should be a good outdoor workout. And then we'll do some yardwork and a day at Deanna Rose will hopefully round it out. I just hope the weather holds out. Don't send that Iowa weather my way!

  3. So, does working out with my friends at the Y count as a buddy workout? That will no problem if so because I work out 3-4 times a week there. Hopefully it warms up this week to get outside. We completed all our outdoor yard/housework on Sat- there won't be much else except raking leaves until spring. If I go on a bike ride and take Carson in my bike trailer, can he count as my buddy?

  4. Your friends at the Y definitely count as buddies. So can Carson but it seems to me that you won't need him for a buddy since you have the Y but you will need an outside workout and bike riding and taking him sound like a perfect workout to me. Wow...talk about run on sentence :)
